Cherryville Artisans have built a fine reputation over the years, for producing high quality arts and crafts, and for providing special events including their popular Summer arts festival, held every second weekend of August. They have also established an outlet for their wares, the Cherryville Artisans' Shop, Gallery & MarketPlace. You can't miss it!, on Highway 6, in a delightful rural setting in the foothills of the Monashee Mountains (Mountains of Peace in gaelic). The shop building itself is colourfully painted with a continuous theme mural, celebrating the four seasons. An outdoor resting area is incorporated into the landscaping around the building, with sulpture garden including pond and giant mushroom umbrellas! CHERRYVILLE ARTISANS |
The WildCraft Forest is an Ecomuseum and interpretive forest, which includes a Sculpture Trail. We're located on Highway 6 in the Monashee Region of British Columbia just on the edge of the North Okanagan, one hour from Kelowna and 30 minutes from Vernon. Visitors can walk the trails of the forest within guided and self-guided tours, which can take about two hours at a leisurely stroll. The interpretation mixes art forms displayed along the trail system with descriptions of the natural flora, fauna and wildlife habitat. The Sculpture Trail is open from March to the end of December. Over 25 innovative contemporary artworks grace the paths and tracks of this scenic woodland. National and international artists exhibit alongside local schools and community groups. The trail covers over 20 acres of land, which is surrounded by thousands of acres of mainly densely wooded areas rich in diverse vegetation and wildlife. We grow and wildcraft herbs and other products at the WildCraft Forest. We also offer interpretive walks and workshops all about wildcrafting and natural foods.
